Discover the vibrant solo exhibition of local artist Xanthe McCrea, whose richly textured works draw inspiration from the landscapes she knows and loves. Born and raised in the New England region of New South Wales, Xanthe transforms the colours, patterns and subtle textures of the natural world into expressive artworks layered with energy and atmosphere.
Working across a variety of lmediums, she builds surfaces alive with colour and movement, capturing the emotional memory of places she has travelled through and experienced.
Xanthe completed her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in early 2020. She now lives in Coonabarabran with her family and works full-time as a professional artist.
This exhibition offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the emerging voice of a passionate regional artist and to see a new body of work that celebrates the beauty and character of the Australian landscape.
